Mother Nature's Child

I often take the time here for books, but I need to take time for an inspirational documentary called "Mother Nature's Child: Growing Outdoors in the Media Age" which made my heart sing. I hate to be corny about it, but there it is. It is about an hour if explaining the importance of raising our kids with connection to nature and various underlining questions or issues. I especially appreciated the attention to risks since that is often what makes parents like me feel uneasy with the general protocols that make a strong connection possible.

The Cat and the Bird

Paul Klee is an artist that I really admire, and his work is the inspiration for the children's book "The Cat and the Bird" by Geraldine Elschner and Peggy Nille. We saw a project related to this book on Deep Space Sparkle and decided to do our version without doing the cold/warm colors lesson.
All we have left on this painting is some tracing with oil pastels. We also decided to make some different Valentines with a project on ArtBar.
On the Valentines, we want to add the to/from info--Zoƫ will write those herself.
