Jack Petrash has a very clever look at the beginning of our childrens' development through the twenties with important pieces and parts for each era. Each of those pieces is salient and not overdone. It's what I'd consider a lot of wisdom rolled artfully into a sort of small book.
Okay, grounding/earthing is pretty fascinating. This book has the studies associated along with a lot of testimonials. Eric and I even purchased one of the grounding sheets for the bed and feel we sleep better. We already try to be barefoot outside because of the therapeutic nature of it to our souls in general. This documentary is a little corny, but it's pretty good about the effects of Earthing for various people (especially in Alaska).
Alfie Kohn challenges like no other, and he does it in a humorous fashion. As per usual, he has done his research very well. One thing I really saw perspective-wise with him was that what our culture often calls "spoiled" is more like "neglected." This one didn't open me up the way Unconditional Parenting did, but it's a keeper.
I just want to highlight the entire thing--I'm getting obnoxious with it! Jesus' Plan for a New World was great, and this one is just blowing me out of any stuck zones. His audio stuff is awesome too if you ever get a chance. Recently, he did a talk called Hierarchy of Truths which is about Jesus' use of scripture. I think he might be my favorite Christian thinker these days.
